Lovely owner, so kind and accommodating. The room was beautifully set up and had everything we needed, including a fan for the hot weather and a cot for our son. The breakfast was really good.

George was an excellent host. Small town experience with a city close at hand.

Good location for this guest house, on the main road but out in the countryside. Nice garden to sit in.
Only a small desk/dressing table for working. Only one chair for the double room, and this was not suitable to use at the desk. So not a stop-over for business really. Early breakfast times. Not a dislike, but just to say the bar is help-yourself affair, not a cosy nook. Overpriced.

It was surely a very relaxing stay for one night or so. I slept so comfy in the big bed. The staff was pleasant and cooperative, the breakfast offered was delicious with plenty of food. There were free internet and good parking available.

Had a lovely 2-night stay. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, but the traffic noise was a bit much for my liking. Chur for the comfy bed!

I was made to feel very welcome by the personal interest of the proprietor. The breakfast was good and the bedding warm.
The bedroom was rather cramped.

The bed was comfy.
there are 3 things that need addressed. The Wi-Fi claim is false - blaming a change in supplier doesn't wash and on the subject of washing the shower temp flucuated - I was warned it may happen but as I had an early start it would be okay - it wasn't. It should also be made clear that only breakfast is served and that it is between certain hours. The tv is on the wall and perhaps a pair of binoculars should be provided - small screen. I did discuss the wi-fi but as the owner flobbed me off with an excuse I didn't mention anything else.

We chose the White House Experience as a half-way stopover, driving from the southeast up to Skye based on price/quality and proximity to the motorway. We were very happy with the experience. We would also recommend the (bistrotype) pub just across the road at which we had dinner.

Friendly host.
The tap and shower were not really adjustable, they were either too hot or too cold.

Chill stay in Penrith 🌲
What a lekker place! Super friendly vibe, and the host was just fabulous with my dog, giving him treats and all that. Room was spacious and comfy, just what I needed after a long day. The brekkie ordering was easy, man, just ticked and put it on the windowsill!
Had to close the windows 'coz of the traffic noise, but that's about it.

This was not a hotel it is a guest house and at 100 pounds per night was over priced we like you thought it was a hotel at that price

I stayed because I was visiting friends in centre parcs. The place is ok if u take the price out of it. Clean. Comfy beds. Good breakfast. Nice lady. But right next to motorway. Chipboard on Walls. No bar as advertised. Facilities were unwelcoming but that does not refer to the lady of house. She was nice. But we felt robbed.
Lacked personality and facilities for this price. Far too expensive in bad location. There are much nicer places in Cumbria for far less.
